About Wigmo Development

Hi, I’m Johan — an iOS and Android developer based in Sweden. I started Wigmo Development in late 2025 after a decade as an employed consultant, ready to work on my own terms.

I’ve been building mobile apps since the iOS 6 era. Over those years I’ve worked across a range of products and teams, but what’s stuck with me is a pretty simple belief: apps should make life easier, not noisier.

Freelance work #

On the consulting side, I work with clients building things that genuinely benefit people. Right now I’m working with Västtrafik, helping improve their public transport apps for everyday travellers in western Sweden.

I don’t close doors on project types, but I’m drawn to work that has real-world impact.

My own apps #

Alongside client work, I’m building my own utility apps under the Wigmo Development umbrella. My approach is straightforward: I build things I want to use myself, and hope others find them just as useful.

The focus is on productivity — tools that get out of your way and do what they’re supposed to do.

How I think about development #

I care about the whole app — not just how it functions, but how it feels. I like when apps do something visually fresh without breaking conventions or sacrificing accessibility. And underneath the surface, I build things to be modular, testable, and easy to maintain.

Good design and solid architecture aren’t in conflict. They should go together.
